Mo has earned it. Miller hasnt

I hate hate hate the idea umps have different strike zones for different pitchers. I know it happens, but it just seems wrong.

Fatty looks like he'll be pretty good even with diminished velocity

He added a 2 seamer. I hadn't seen that in awhile. He has to keep moving the fastball around the zone and putting a cut and a run on it to stay successful. When you're throwing 97 from a 6'7" frame, you don't have to do that as much. When you're throwing 91, you better

What i've seen different from Iglesias is that even though he still swings a lot, he's swinging at a lot less junk than before. It seems like he mostly swings at strikes now.

That pitch to Nava was a makeup pitch. That wasn't even close

This umpire's been all over the place. I don't think it's had a large influence on the game so far though. It's much more annoying when the bogus calls are strike threes with men on base.

Yes, it is. Nava is arguing about that final pitch, which was a strike, but strike 2 was garbage

Yup, definitely a strike. It feels different when you're up there as a hitter though, your strike zone can get screwy if the pitcher's throwing to both sides of the plate.

It can get screwy if the umpire was rubbish all night.

I'm sure the strike zone will change drastically when Rivera comes in. Over/under - Rivera gets 1.5 "bonus" strike calls according to pitch f/x. I'm gonna go with over.

On the bright side, Mariano hasn't recorded an out in six days. On the not so bright side, he'll probably retire the side in less than 10 minutes.
More like 10 pitches.
