So far we have seen Buehlre, Josh Johnson, Guthrie and Kuroda get traded or signed. If we don't get a pitcher at the end, I am sure that we will hear excuses like none were available or they were too pricey and so on and so on.

The Sox lack of SP in '12 was the heart of their problems and every time a SP comes of the market it is a little concerning. If the Sox don't improve their SP it will be another long season in the improving AL East.

I have mixed feelings about this move. It seems to send the message that the Yanks have no problem getting older. Is a pricey one year deal on a 38 year old worth a first round draft pick? It He had a great year last year, so maybe it is. Mixed feelings

Kuroda makes zero sense for the 2013 Red Sox. He made a ton of sense last off-season.

Kuroda wasn't going anywhere else, so it's not like we missed the chance to sign him.

 

 

The Yankees were the only club Kuroda would have signed with if he stayed in the U.S. and put off a return to Japan, agents and clubs with knowledge of the talks said. The Yankees arent under an edict to get younger, they are under an edict to get under $189 million come 2014. This 1 yr deal is exactly what they wanted. Kuroda was our best pitcher last yr, he was solid in the playoffs and now he is back for 1 more yr. Now re-sign Pettitte and Mo and your pitching questionmarks are answered
