Jerry is right though....Pedro clearly was trying to get to this issue without being as direct as Jerry has been tonight...Sox pitchers do not know how to pitch inside along with the bevy of other issues that they have....in fact, you could make a case for their inability to pitch inside without beaning somebody is the other end of the same problem.

I'm still pissed off about Bailey blowing the game last night. That was the final indignity of this brutal season. They weren't satisfied with how much pain they had already inflicted.

Yea but who brought us this turd of a team and this jerk of a manager.....Red Sox upper management and FO. Bunch of clowns if you ask me. Raked in the money this year I am sure...how bout next year.

They have a lot of work to do before Christmas at Fenway if they want their phony sell out streak to continue into next season.

Let's see Tazawa know how to pitch, how to attack hitters, how to induce groundballs, and he throws inside too, several paints on the black call strike three. He's a confident pitcher.

Everyone is just grooving everything and or can't find the zone.

Boy you got to give Jerry some credit....I agreed with Pedro the other night when he talked about pitching inside and I could see where it was an issue for the Sox....even posted something here about it here. Pedro was being far to diplomatic though. Recognizing he was back for a Sox event, what choice did he have. But Jerry really put an ex-ballplayers bite to the issue from the hitters perspective. Man is our pitching screwed up. In part why I just cannot buy into the notion that a tweak here and a tweak there would have done anything for this team this year. They are totally....TOTALLY screwed up mainly because there really isn't much in the way of a bright spot that is not standing on quick sand within the existing pitching.

Yes Don a healthy WMB will help but WMB is far from a complete ballplayer as yet. He is getting there but not there yet.

bobby must really interview well.

I doubt it. People mused that LL wanted controversy. Wanted a lightning rod to distract attention from the team's play while providing more flash in the pan sort of interest. Sox must have invested one hell of a lotta' money in this whole 100th anniversary thing cause while they never looked like they had much team going into this season, they sure as hell put on one heck of a blitz to drive the revenue line this season. It was a promotion a minute from day one.

I just don't think LL bargained for such a poor communicator with ballplayers...and anybody else for that matter. I suspect LL got much more than he bargained for in that regard. That said, V is far down the list of things wrong with the Sox and he is way easier to fix than the rest....see ya' V.

Glad some of the regulars from earlier in the season came back at least for a night. It had turned into a lonely vigil some nights.

Thanks to all for making the game threads an interesting place to be. I really mean that.

V has looked rattled in the last few interviews. The idea that he has probably had his last day in the sun in uniform has likely been sinking in the last few days.
