Lot of different ways today could turn out, what do you want to see?

A Red Sox loss and a Marlins win moves them up in the draft. A Red Sox win and a Orioles loss forces a one game playoff.

The O's and Yanks are each guaranteed two chances to make the ALDS round (EDIT if the Yanks lose and O's win). Whoever loses gets another another one game playoff, whoever wins gets in automatically. Will be interesting to see rotation strategies from here on out.

But anyway this is it for the 2012 Red Sox, it's all over but the crying.

An O's win and a Yankees loss guarantees a playoff. The Red Sox are locked into a protected pick, so they could theoretically make a run at Greinke and not lose a 1st rounder. It will be interesting to see how they rebuild this s*** show

The Yankees will jump out to a big insurmountable lead against Dice K. The Yankees on field post-game celebration will make our humiliation compete.

The silver lining is that Dice K will never again sit up for the Sawx.

If I had my way I would have the Sox beat the Spanks and the O's win tonight to force a one game playoff between the Yanks an O's. However I think the Spanks will just pulverize dice and that will be that.

Another hearty goodbye to dice. I often don't include dice in my list of woeful big money moves by the Sox cause folks want to credit him for his involvement in a championship and another early good season to boot. I think it was another failed move but that is just me. Glad to see dice gone after this season.

I saw his first start in Spring Training in 2007 when he was acquired. I saw him in the bullpen, and I was unimpressed that he was an undersized sort of pudgy guy. Even Bobby V didn't think a lot of him while he was in Japan, but we signed and paid him like he was going to be a star.

Only if Bailey didn't choked last night, this game might be interesting to watch since the yankees will need to bust their tail off needing to avoid Baltimore tomorrow. Thanks a lot Andrew.

The game will be out of reach by the 3rd inning.

You believe there was hope in the first place?

Bailey stunk it up last night. It would be exciting forcing both the Os andyanks to play tomorrow in Balitmore.

D-K is done in Boston, isn't he?, so.... why not try at least with a young talent of our farm?

Anyone has better chances than our treasure from Japon.

Nava is hitting 3rd again. What a disaster. Iggy still playing. The no hit and all glove last a few days at best.

Can we just forward 48 hours and watch Bobby V presser where he is fired?

I think anyone else on the staff would have a better chance than Dice k TONIGHT--- Aceves, Padilla, Cook would all have a better chance. Maybe Bobby V just wants to humiliate Dice by having him lose to his fellow countryman.

I think they show up tonight. If they have any backbone at all, they don't want the Yankees clinching on them.

I'm rooting for the Orioles to win the division. Just for the novelty of it. And I'll pass on Zack Greinke.

I was going to watch the Dodgers-Giants game until I saw the Red Sox finale is on ESPN. Being a glutton for punishment and as I like to rubberneck at fatal accidents, I'll tune in.

I haven't seen the Red Sox rack up a won-loss record like this year's since I was a sophomore in high school. And I'm 61!

Last game of the season, the bleeding stops here.

Amen! And I really hope you didn't bet anyone $200 that our Sox would win this game. :(

I make it well known I'm a huge Red Sox fan here in Miami. I have a friend who thought the Marlins were gonna have a better record(because of a few pickups and a new stadium)and I thought that was hilarious. I told him put his money where his mouth is. You'd think it'd be an easy bet on my part but I nearly lost. With the Mets win today, that guarantees me I won't have to pay anything. If we win tonight, I get 200 bucks. How it even got this close scares me.

At least you didn't lose 200, but the chances of you winning that 200 are slim to none.

Why even start dice tonight....anybody but dice. There was no doubt that the yanks were going to do this to dice. Start anybody...just anybody but dice. If he is there in the 2nd inning it will be another 3 runs and another and another.
