Lester walked 7 and we only scored 3 times off him. Girardi inexplicably leaves Robertson in for a second inning when he has ALWAYS sucked in his second inning of work. I am speechless right now. I hope Girardi gets locked in his bathroom tomorrow so we can actually have a f***ing chance

Big night for Jacoby & what a way to cap off the night, with the walk off RBI single.

 

At least we can still be the spanner in the works of the Stinkees, who are hardly a well oiled machine themselves of late.

Meaning, of course, that the Sox aren't really a spanner in the works so much as the Yankees are just awful right now. Anyone could beat them...as evidenced by the Sox doing it.

 

Not that the Sox aren't playing spoiler. I'm just saying that the Sox aren't playing spoiler because they are the Sox, they're doing it because they are the team the Yankees are playing right now. The Royals could be the spoiler as far as New York is concerned right now.

By winning the first game, the Sox have ensured themselves a measure of self-respect. I was glad to see that they didn't just roll over. I guess they still have some pride. Doubs has pitched very well against the Skanks in Fenway. Hopefully, he can crank up another good game against them tomorrow. Cook will probably get pummeled tonight.

Was this site hacked last evening? It told me to download something. Couldn't get on.

 

'Zend Optimizer', right? Same thing happened to me.

I am sure the site was hacked. It happened in the afternoon....just before the first Spanks game...what a coincidence! Sure it was.

 

I hope nobody tried to access the URL linked in that post. I would worry about that if you tried. While Zend is a real company, did that link look like the link a real company would post?

 

If you did try see if you can do a security diagnosis with whatever Internet Security Software you have to see it if turns anything up. The biggest hacking scam going is to put you in an uncomfortable position and then provide the supposed link that is going to make everything all better again. The link or "cure" often turns out to be a virus that might infect your computer depending on certain variables and parameters, not the least of which is often a date out in the future when the virus actually attacks. It sits dormant until that date arrives. So, just because nothing has happened yet, if nothing has happened yet, I would still run a scan and see if ti turns anything up.

 

Don't be embarrassed if you tried to access the link and it is buggered. The whole thing is designed to elicit sort of a knee jerk reaction out of you before you have a chance to think it through. Just run a scan in an effort to see if you are OK. Maybe the administrators contacting Zend might not be a terrible idea in an effort to see if Zend can tell us anything about that link.

 

I absolutely hate this s***....particularly when it seems tied to a baseball series. Get real. Life is costly enough without having to deal with this kind of ********.

I am not sure if the URL is hosted by Go Daddy, but if it is, that is why it was down. Supposedly Go Daddy was hacked and thousands of their websites were not working.

Go Daddy got hacked! Well that was certainly more ambitious than hacking TalkSox. I was on TalkSox just as it died which was at about 2:00 Eastern at least here. Not sure if that helps any.

Supposedly they did. Now I am hearing that Go Daddy is claiming that they did not get hacked and that there was "intermittent service outages." I do not know if that means they got hacked and that is their excuse for not wanting to admit it. Either way, that might explain why the site was down.
