I am in shock! This is our ace and he is back in the bullpen.

Any ideas?

I feel more confident watching this guy pitch than watching Lester and Beckett. How long will this last?

The Red Sox pitching is a-changin': Doubront is now the ace--the only 10 game winner.

Cook is looking sharp, Morales too -except when he gets intimidated by the Yankees; while Lester and Dice-K suck, Beckett is so-so, and Buchholz is as fragile as a raw Easter egg.

Seems logical that Morales should go back to the bullpen. I mean Red Sox management logical. :)

Could it be they want to showcase some other pitcher before the trading deadline?:(

Doubront and Morales are both on innings limits. No need in burning their innings at the same time. When Doub's innings limit is met, you DL him and put Morales in the rotation.

I did not like hearing this...... but heard it had to do with needing a lefty in the pen. I am thinking we will see him start again before the year is up.

What is Doubronts inning limit? 150?

This isnt really related but ot came to mind: imagine what happens to Washington when Strasburg hits his limit?

That story popped up a little while ago.

I hate that hes in the bullpen. He was one of the reasons I enjoyed watching them this year.

I do understand though. With Cook pitching well, they are better off with him in the bullpen.

Morales wasted on a third of an inning tonite. I don't know how the Sox can succeed if management continues to make dumbass decisions. Morales has been lights out as a starter (except the Yankee start), while Lester has been crap and needs some bullpen time to sort things out. That's the logical thing to do, but apparently logic escapes the front office (or V? who knows who makes decisions on this team).

They're gunshy after what happened to Bard. Just because a kid is pitching well doesn't mean you drop the reins and let them have their head.

You worry about Morales attitude. The guy was lights out in most starts, then he winds up back in the bullpen. He succeeded starting and gets sent back to the bullpen. Bard failed as a starter and gets sent back to the bullpen. What's the message?

The message is "we screwed up taking the reins off one kid too early and are determined not to make the same mistake twice."

What are you talking about? They made a mistake by taking the reins off Bard? Is that what you are saying? That doesn't make sense to me. Bard just sucked. it had nothing to do with taking reins off.
