I agree 700.....when the game is about hitting, we have won more than our share. Not sure we have really been out-slugged in anything other than that Detroit game and that Texas game that came soon after.

With Texas coming up too.

I hope we get some out of the ordinary extraordinary pitching for Texas/NYY

I actually think that while the Sox have been second in runs all season sometime late last week or maybe even now (i should go look) the Sox were only 1 run behind Texas. So the Sox are that close to the top of the league in offense with a 2 games over 500 record (assuming they win tonight).

So I just looked and it is 1 run at the moment. Unless Texas is having a crazy night, it would seem that the Sox will come out of tonight's game with the #1 offense in baseball.

Buch at least made progress....made progress.....made progress all season until he finally seems to have gotten where he should be (hopefully making the rest of his starts this year) but Beckett and Lester to be honest really aught to be ashamed of themselves.

Pap just blew another save.

Have fun with that contract, Philly. This is why closers are so overrated. I'm not saying everyone can close, but there is always someone on your team who can. You just have to find him, and you don't have to pay him 15mm a year.

If I had to choose between Papelbon vs Aceves or Bailey and 13mm toward another player, give me Aceves or Bailey. All day.

Saw that one. Pap was victimized by fluke seeing eye infield hits. It happens. But he was only throwing 93. They still didn't hit him. Kemp hit a walkoff in the 12th off some other pitcher.

Bitch hits are the same all over the league....hits bitch or otherwise generally start with the pitcher making a bad pitch. So I suspect Paps put some bad pitches back to back and paid for it.

For reference, just go to the top left "User CP", then go to "Edit Ignore List" (on the left) and type in the user name and you're set.

It's not effective for ignoring argumentative trolls, but for graphic/stupid stuff like this it'll do.

Is that Gulf sign new out there? It must be....I don't remember it and I have to think they did that thing tonight because it is new out there.
