Good observation about Sox success against junkballers......you can't really say every junkballer has it goin' on just when he pitches against the Sox....the Sox have really had a tough time with junkballers....but I do think it does line up with not taking what the pitcher gives you. Not many Sox hitters take what the pitcher gives them...many of our hitters have a particular idea of what they want to do when they go to the plate and they really don't allow for what the pitcher will allow them to do. As I have said many times in the past, they are just not that good....and hardly anybody is but they are consistent.

Salty stabs at wayyyyy too many pitches. He is not smooth at all when framing pitches. In fact, I think he takes a lot of calls away from pitchers because he stabs at it and it takes his glove out of the strike zone on borderline calls.
