Did you think I was going to ban him? Sorry to burst your bubble.

My thought about Jacko compared to the rest of the board is not the minority among Mods.

Never thought that. He makes his own bed here.

It's not desperate' date=' it's unfortunate reality. Your team has been decimated with injuries and ineptitude. You just suck it up and see where the chips fall[/quote']

It is desperation b/c of the injuries. That is reality, injuries.

It's like falling behind in the count w/every batter in every game.

Poor offense is always behind.

Ortiz is da bomb. I would f***ing hate it if he left Boston. He deserves to retire in the uniform.

He deserves much more than he is being given on this team. Retiring as a Red Sox under these conditions is not what he wants, nor will he go in such a way.

Ortiz is a goner after this year.

So it is poor offense that gives up runs in the first inning or for that matter any runs at all....starting pitching is the biggest problem this team has followed by the lack of timely hitting and defense. You can stack the other two behind the first anyway you want to. Starting pitching must be resolved for this team to succeed.

I do hope to all hell though that the sweep at the hands of these clowns this weekend is their last hoorah this season. They are aging and have avoided the injury plague for awhile now. I always get a kick out of their high priced quick exit from the playoffs.

It is what it is. I also think AdGon is injured. He might finally be healthy, but IIRC, it was his lead shoulder that was hurt. The lead shoulder lends you loft in your swing. If that shoulder isnt right, it would explain why he's a singles and doubles hitter right now

Mod's on your side now so you can do what you want.

Yup. Seems so.

In the end everyone has to live with the decisions they make and the consequences resulting from those decisions.

When a lot of people are telling you that your actions are offensive you can either choose to stonewall that information or you can look at it critically to see if it is true. You might still conclude that its invalid criticism but at least you put the effort to listen in.

Those other posters: they aren't here any more, apparently, at least not many of them. As happens with every successful internet board, new ones replace the old ones and change the tone a bit. For my part, its not bad here at all, usually.

The Yankees can miss the playoffs for the next 10 years and they would still laugh at our faces.

That's how bad they own us.

Rebuild. It is clear that this Red Sox team should not be in the same league with the Yankees or Texas.

If the Sox could acquire some better pitching they would probably be a playoff contender.

They have the talent to compete. The Red Sox are among the leaders in runs scored and that's without ellsbury, Crawford , and with A-Gon in a power slump for the first half.

It's not bad, I never said it was. Just touchy. Very touchy.

I agree, his shoulder is hurting and he can't fess up to it now because it'll just open another big can of worms.

Along with addressing the SP soon, I would for the love of God like to see them finally stop the revolving door mediocre to poor shortstop thing that has been going on for eight years now.

I hope its just an injury. I would hate to think that this is the real Agon and the one we will have to deal with for what-five more years?

Injuries can heal. Incompetence cannot.

It wouldnt shock me to hear about an off season "cleanout" of the shoulder.

Dont be shocked. Divinity only shows up when the Yankees are pounding the Red Sox.

You dont just lose all power at age 30 without some reason. It isnt like he has the yips or he's lost his drive. The guy can still hit, just with no power. There is a reason. I know everyone on here is pissed at him this yr, but he should get healthy in the offseason or hell, get him healthy once the sox give up the ghost. He's gonna be a hell of a sleeper fantasy pick next yr. .300, 30HR, 100RBI.

I think you are giving yourself a lot of credit by calling yourself TNT. I'd go with juggling candy in a room full of fat kids

He's a double play machine injured or not. So it is abit of an incompetence on his part to stay away from the DP.

Correctamento Divinity...it has enough offense to win its fair share of games but by the end of this one the Yanks will likely have upwards of 8 runs again....no team succeeds when the only games it can win are 8-6, 10-8 slugfests. This is evidenced by the number of losses we have even scoring 4 runs. Only in the AL East is four runs not generally enough output to compete and we lose games all over baseball, not just in the AL East.

Sox fans live and die with this team. From what I can tell, its more emotional than Yankee fans in general are. Everyone's nerves are raw here; expectations were high. I understand that there is a rivalry, but I would never consider kicking Yankee fans when they were down. Or any opponent for that matter. Just my own opinion.

Touchy? Yes. Now that you realize that, you can choose the course that you think is right.

I consider it equally a yankees game thread when they're playing each other.

At least I don't post on a site for a team I hate that is struggling badly to stroke my ego every day.

I hope you meet up face to face with karma really soon.

Can we drop the back and forth banter now? I am watching my team and you have a lot of gloating/trolling to get on with.

Do you live in the Bronx Jack? And what kind of doctor are you?

Lies, I show up every time I'm online when the two teams play each other.

He is slow. Double plays are going to happen. I can live with that. But he has to be able to hit lots of HRs. Thats why he was brought here: hit and hit with power. Hopefully its not just that the pitchers have figured him out.
