Agreed. I think that team is loaded this year. Brandon Lloyd is the burner on the outside they lacked last year. Unless Brady gets hurt I think they will make a strong run at a championship.

TalkPats will be active this year.

I think SCM is the mod there, right?

Not sure, I actually post on patsfans

I am, but the place is hard to keep active.

Last year was pretty good for half the year, but mostly on game days. Its pretty slow when there is not a game on.

If anyone could do it' date=' Bill can.[/quote']

One more thing: there is a huge difference in the level of professionalism on the Patriots vs the Red Sox. How many times do you hear players whining about their roles on the team or about their contracts? Yeah, I know it happens occasionally, but not nearly as often as on the Sox. Everyone is on the same page on that team, or they are not on the team. And all they do is win. Not championships necessarily, but they are in the mix every year. They all give 110% every game. Contrast that with these losers.....

Agreed I dont think the Pats will have a problem deciding who to cut and who to keep. Bill is a smart cookie. A team like the Colts will have trouble, as they have so many rookies especially on the defensive side. As well as a Rookie head coach. Bill is to smart not to have a competitive team. Alot of people know the Patriots are built on talent and skill, but they also have some of the smartest coaching staff in the NFL.

Its going to be a little easier this year I would think.

Off line, I would like to find out more about the logistics of TalkSox...who owns it, who runs it, where the money to operate it comes from. Just curious.

Can I pm you later about it?

Well, BB believes in locker room harmony. No ridiculous contracts. Other than Brady no one earns more than $9mm. So no one in the locker room gets upset. No Big Papis bitching or Becketts giving up, getting wasted on the job.

BB is the smartest coach ever in the history of sports.

aviles continues his slide into oblivion.

He just cannot be the SS of the future. I think he is better suited as the utility IF, the Nick Punto, than as a regular player. Add SS to the list of positions we have to fill. Iglesias will probably never hit well enough to play in the majors.

Yeszir. Yeszir owns the VBulletin licenses for both forums. I think him and a couple friends went in on purchasing it while in college in 2004.

Problem is that based on how is throwing today I don't think Franky will avoid another mistake or two inside and those are all headed into orbit. He seems to be going after them a bit more and that is the only thing that will save him.

We have so many SS in the minors. Wish one of them were true SS and ready to be called up. Ugh.

He is up there, thats for sure. What I like about that team is the professionalism and the effort, every game, all the time. I can take losses if they are outplayed, but not if there is the level of sloppiness and MEFIRST present like on the Sox.

We have to realize that there is a key difference in football: the contracts are not guaranteed. That makes a big difference. In football, mouth off and you are history. In baseball, mouth off and you are in the lineup. Sure wish that would change.

Seriously! The contract system is f***ed up in the MLB.

Franky's is all over the place today which is why I think he will just leave a few more inside right in their wheelhouse.

We get money from some Red Sox players. Nomar used to post here, John Harrington too, etc.

Offense cant save us if we cant get control of our pitching against the Yanks. I actually had alot of confidence before the game in Franklin. Might be fizzling away a bit.

Nicely done Sox...please get Swisher this time. Franky is working on luck as much as anything though cause he is putting the ball in some terrible spots.

If he can get out of this inning maybe Garcia will fall apart.
