Winning this series alone would have put us there.

Rays is losing games left and right and the Orioles are not doing much better.

Guess asking for a sweep of the Mariners is too much of a task for the Sox.

The orioles have had a great run of good fortune in extra inning and 1 run games through this point in the season. Their recent stretch seems to be more of a sign of their true colors.

Hence: would have put us..

I deal more with what IS rather than what could or would or should be. Fact is, we aren't winning this series. Why? Because we do not have the talent to win it.

I’m getting so angry right now. For the last four nights all I have watched is one run games where our offense looks like s***. I feel like I need to go to the gun range and take out some of this rage!

Wow.

I just got home.

WTF is going on with this offense?!?! What happened?!?!?

Nothing happened. CC and Ells are missing. Youks is in Chicago and we are left with Ortiz, Pedroia, the singles hitting version of Gonzo and various and assorted bags of s***.

Same s*** as the last three games. Get guys on base and don’t get them home. Along with good Red Sox pitching that is going to lose the game because they gave up one or two runs.

Have we even threatened or is this just the impotent piece of s*** offense we've seen the past 3 days??

Bases loaded with two out once. But Punto was up and the results were predictable.

Add Ross to the list of guys having a good year. And Middlebrooks.

I think we have seen WMB's kryptonite. He cannot sit on a change

Same thing happened when the Rays came to town, they threw him nothing but changeups.

He adjusted then. He'll adjust again.

As much as you would like to believe that, its way too early to tell either way. So far, overall, I like what I have seen.

Not as predictable as you may think. As bad as punto has been this year as a whole, he scalded that ball and it went right at the 3b.

As little chances to score as the red sox have had in these games, when they are making solid contact it's right at a Mariner or dies in the outfield of home run hell.

Punto makes outs. Sometimes they are hard outs, sometimes they are soft outs. He is hitting .197/.595. He sucks. Him up there in any situation is as close to an automatic out as there is.

Ortiz is up there saying how great the Mariners' pitching is....they are NINTH in ERA. They suck. Our offense sucks more, apparently, especially with this lineup. We are getting shut out.....AGAIN. One more game behind the Yankees, if we lose this, and its time to throw in the towel.

Our pitchers have a 1.09 ERA during this series.

And we're about to lose the series 3-1.

I hope Beckett gets up and chews the s*** out of Ortiz/Gonzo/Pedroia et all like Ortiz did to the pitching. That's unacceptable.

Crawford & Gonzo = busts (currently) :(

Yanks spend double Red Sox.

WS is expensive when you buy it.

Not true, the Sox have been averaging about $170 million or so. The yankoffs are usually around $200 to 210 million. Not even close to double and a hell of alot more division wins, playoffs and WS titles.

Punto is only in there because Aviles was a late scratch. I agree with the sum of what you are saying, but those types of hits tend to go through more times than not.

When it rains, it poors with this 2012 team so far

Dude.

Shut up. I mean honestly. Shut up. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my entire life.

Even more stupid than when you said the EXACT SAME THING ABOUT THE CUBS GAME.

Apparently, the Red Sox aren't allowed to lose anymore this year or it's season over.

If we get nine behind the Yankees we have no chance of catching them. The Angels will get one wild card spot if they don't overtake the Rangers because they are the best of the WC candidates. The other teams that are better than we are are the Orioles and the Rays; the Tigers may also beat us out.

We lose this and lose one more in the lost column to the Yankees and we really ought to sell the house at the trading deadline.
