This is a 6-8 week injury. Will need to rebuild his arm afterwards. He won't be back until end of August, early September.

 

In terms of who is gonna be pitching, we are gonna really just have to replace one guy. CC's spot will only need a spot starter twice. That isnt the end of the world. This spot will need to throw maybe 10 times, so that's a big loss. Right now Adam Warren and Freddy Garcia are in the rotation, but David Phelps will not be too far behind. Phelps was demoted to build his arm strength. He'll be at the 60 pitch count in his next outing in the minors and after that should be up to around 80 or so. If he can make it to 80, he can do it in the bigs. So the line will probably be Garcia and Warren for the next turn in the rotation and whoever sucks the most will get replaced by Phelps. It really is too bad Banuelos is hurt and Betances has sucked, cause we could use them right now. But it is time to use that solid upper level depth

With CC and Pettitte on the shelf, it will be interesting to see the Yankees rotation when they come to Boston for a 4 game ste next weekend, especially since Saturday Is a double header.
