People have been saying consistently that the Sox wouldn't get anything for him. Well, it seems they didn't get much for him, but they are out from under him now and can move forward.

Lilibit is 28 years old and has a .641 OPS. He is a horrendous middle IFer. He has been playing mainly OF for the ChiSox. Does anyone see a fit with Boston in the OF?

 

They should have just given him to the Dodgers rather than trade him to a competitor.

Youkilis wasn't hitting. they can't afford to take up a roster space with him. Valentine isn't going to play him anymore. The pressure has been building to this moment, let's not pretend that everything could have kept going like this indefinitely.
