Wow...Franky Morales where have you been.....What the f*** is up with this guy? Talk about sneakin' up on us. "Oh well I am just going to wait a bit. They will eventually get around to asking me to start...hell they eventually ask everybody to start (te-he)."

I said it after last week.....

this guy is a poor mans version of Johan Santana. Excellent control, 95-96 fastball, big looping curveball, plus changeup at 82-85 MPH. I think I even saw a split.

This guy MUST stay in the rotation. No question.

As long as he has control of his pitches he can dominate. Thats been his problem in the past-control

Not having seen enough of him to know what has been behind his control problems, I wonder if the way he has settled into this motion is key for Morales. I commented earlier that I have never seen the ball flowing out of his hand like this...certainly not in any of his relief appearances. Many times in relief he is pitching out of the stretch right away. But the ball is just flowing out of his hand and you can tell it is going where he is aiming it.

The worst player in the world according to Pumpsie is 3-3 tonight.

Lets see how he does over the next few weeks, eh? One night with three hits does not mean anything at all. He has hurt this team for weeks.

The last 5 years arent a large enough sample size?

Has he been hurt for five years? If he wasn't hurt his slump would not be an issue.

so Morales throws:

Fastball 93-96

Changeup 83-85

Curveball 74-80

Splitter 85-87......all for strikes.

Get it back guys...don't care we are up 5-2. About time this team got tough. I want to see them respond every damn time somebody scores on them.

Morales has pitched terrific tonight. His own mental errors are causing problems for him but I still can't believe his motion and the way he is throwing. It would not be a total surprise if he was not that tired. He is throwing with what appears to be such a natural motion and the ball is just exploding at the plate.
