It was nice to see that they have moved Aviles out of the top spot tonight. .285 OB% is not going to cut it.

When Ellsbury and Crawford are back, if Gonzalez is still struggling....any chance of Crawford leadoff with Ellsbury hitting 3rd?

Who leads off when everyone is healthy?

Ells should hit 3rd no matter what.

CC could hit lead off, but I'd wait til his production put him in the top of the order.

For now, a combination of Nava/Kalish at 1 and 2 would probably be best. Pedey should be DL'd or moved down in the order.

I think you have to leave Nava where he is until the magic wears off. It would be stupid to bench him while he's this white-hot.

They bench Nava for 4 games and suddenly find themsellves, coincidentally of course, under .500 at the end of that stretch. They bring him out and they're back on a win streak. The man is playing a role in carrying this team with his ability to get on base ahead of people like David Ortiz. He might be the one best table setter in the entire league right now. Run with this. And tell CC to take his freaking time.

BTW I bat Ellsbury second.

Nava, LF S

Ellsbury, CF L

Pedroia, 2B R

Ortiz, DH L

Ross, RF R

Salty, C S

Middlebrooks, 3B R

Gonzalez, 1B L

Aviles, ss R

Dojji, he was on the bench due to injury. He wasn't "benched" just for the heck of it.

And let's bat Mr O-for 3rd. Makes sense to me!

You stick with a lineup that's winning.

I'd like to AdGon batting 6th. It's the money that's batting him 3rd or 4th right now.

You hurt the team keeping non-productive hitters in the middle of the lineup.

It says a lot about loading your lineup with high OBP guys. They've gotten away from that.

Boy hard to pull Nava out the way he has been getting on base.

However, he has been so hot that it becomes hard to believe that he stays that "on" up till the point that both Ells and CC are back and have steadied. So I would say, the best thing would be to just enjoy this run. Let Nava continue right were he is for now. I just don't think you can make a decision on Nava at this point.

If they don't keep him here and keep guys like Pods and d-mac instead, then that is going to piss me off.
