Yeah that ol MVP of position players is a pretty worthless player. Those 8 seasons for Crawford are ********. Last year is what matters. I don't care if he's made changes to his hitting stance from last year and closed it to be more consistent with 2010 and prior.

Nah. They'll just both suck because I'm negative.

Yeah, 8 years ago. Last year doesn't matter, this year doesn't matter, he will be the player he was years ago cause that's what we need him to be. I see the logic.

I do my job; he should be able to do his. Sloppy baseball. No free pass there. Sorry.

He's 2/2 today, and missed a ball running backwards half twisted around while at the same time probably hearing mcass barreling towards him?? Yup.. Easy play.... Better be glad your job isn't that hard

I love it when pitchers keep hitting that spot. Ortiz just pounds that pitch all day long even if it does not catch so much of the middle of the plate. All that would have changed if that pitch was a little inside or outside of that spot would have been where the ball would have landed in the stands.

No, the last 8 years.......a careers body of work.

Not 8 years ago.

Dont understand the hate for the only player who gives a s*** on the team.

You're talking about Beckett, right?

s***, let me re-phrase.....

Pedroia gives a s*** ABOUT the team.

Beckett just shits on them.

Oh, has he played this year?

I didn't think so.

But yeah. Screw the 3,784 plate appearances. Lets just focus on the 539 from last year.

Forget that, even with last year and his injury plagued 2008 season when he tried to return too quickly, he's still averaging .296/.340/.456 with 14 HR, 73 RBI, 11 Triples, 90 Runs, and 43 SB over his past 7 seasons.

Nah. Talent always just falls off a cliff.

No, its the OF's ball.

If you played the game, youd know it.

Dont understand the hate for the only player who gives a s*** on the team.

It was the OF's ball. I agree. But once Pedroia gets his glove on it (and he was there in plenty of time to make the play) then he has to complete the play.

Pedroia talks too much. I don't hate him. I think he talks too much.

Never said he played this year, the point is he has barely played at all since they shelled out $142 million dollars that could have been spent on pitching. I remember how good he was for TB years ago, who gives a s***? How is that helping this team?

LOL...actually, my job deals with life and death decisions. Glad its not as hard as trying to catch a baseball.

Pesky was pretty good too and he's always hanging around. Suit him up and send him out' date=' he had a good career.[/quote']

So by your logic, players arent allowed to have bad years?

Geez, you wouldnt survive in a bad baseball market.......you'd commit suicide, or root for someone elses hometeam, which is probably what you did........

Guys, don't worry....if the Sox continue to suck he'll go away, he will have a new favorite team :)

Oh that's a good argument.

Hey how is Adam Dunn doing this year?

You know, Adam Dunn, the guy who averaged 40 HR/season from 2004-2010 (7 seasons). Then struggled in 2011 and hit .159/.292/.277 with 11 HR.

How's he doing? Is he maybe returning to his career norms? Hm. Lets check.

Wow. Through 65 games he's got 23 homeruns and is hitting to a .953 OPS.

But. But. But. But that's impossible!! He sucked last year!! Rebounds aren't allowed!! Career norms are stupid because they don't agree with my negative argument!!! *sniff sniff* *wipes tears*

Yeah, you are right.

God people are stupid, this team has sucked for years now and these "optimists" can only criticize the people who point it out, never the team.

Man those 30 year olds. Everyone knows that at 30, your talent disappears. Just like when your 25, you suddenly become an excellent driver so your insurance rates go down. Just a natural occurrence.

Nice work by Morales. Maybe he has a future as a SP. Looks a hell of a lot better than Bard at it.

He was originally a SP in Colorado. Had command issues, landed in the bullpen. His stuff is electric if he can control it.

Who gives a flying f*** about Adam Dunn? Who said Crawford was gonna suck? I am just pointing out that it is retarded to think that he will be our saviour if and when he ever gets out on the field to start earning any of that ridiculous pay.

I am one of the most critical members here. People call me pessimistic, Im not....Im objective.

The team sucks, but to say Crawford is a bust or that he sucks when his whole body of work says last year was an aberration is not being objective.

Strikes out the side. One more inning out of him is all we can expect. Great job so far. Now lets score some runs. Maholm is a crap pitcher.
