Apparent the decision was made two weeks ago to sit Ortiz in the 2nd game vs Marlins.

 

Problem with that is we didn't know which pitchers we'd face!!!

 

??? sit Ortiz was planned 2 weeks ago? Makes zero sense.

 

They knew a week ago who would lined up to face them in Miami.

His numbers are falling like a rock..OPS now less than .700

I thought he would do better than that.

Insisting on trying to pull there is just another example of this talk of "we support each other....we pull for each other" is all talk.

 

Aviles is batting in a park with a pretty huge LF with a chance to get a lead with a hit and as usual just refuses to adapt his approach to this plate appearance to what the team needed.....these guys are just so much ********.

He's about as lucky as he can be that Iglesias had back tightness.

 

Iggy's defense is an obvious and substantial improvement over Aviles, and he was hitting .341/.364/.427 in Pawtucket during May right before he got hurt.

 

He was hitting .269 with a .317 OBP down there overall, but his May numbers were really boosting his overall numbers and he looked like he was in a groove.

Actually if Youk does not play LL AND Youk are cryin'.

 

Of course if the Sox lose that is apparently a big who cares.

 

At this rate, how many games do you think Youk will have to play to impress anybody? He has fallen so far recently that I think he will likely have to play all the way up to the deadline to have a shot at being impressive to anybody.

Well I just really like baseball and really like the Sox as hard as it is to watch them these days...it is still baseball and it is still Red Sox baseball.
