I am just saying.These *******s need to start f***ing pitching better' date=' especially Lester![/quote']

Actually, right now, its ONLY Lester. Everyone else is doing at least decent work, and some are doing very well. Lester is the weak link.

But he'll do better, right?

Offense needs to start doing something.

d-money at 8:02: Fielding needs to step it up. This is a f***ing joke!

d-money at 8:12: Bobby V is an absolutely shitshow.

d-money at 8:45: The bullpen coach is a bag of dicks.

d-money in August: Springsteen held a terrible concert at Fenway. Tear it down.

d-money in December: Christmas at Fenway was Grinch-esque. Garbage.

(Note: Kidding, don't actually care)

Well I guess I have to admit the guy has got decent location on his pitches but it is not like he has anything on them...I mean anything!

At least Smelly has been once through the lineup now so everybody has seen him. Maybe they will get some hits now. Would be nice if the Sox actually started a game in the 1st inning instead of the 4th but hey what do you expect for a measly $180M?

DFA Punto please for the love of god

I would much rather see Nate Spears up and Punto DFA'd. Punto has nothing left at all, so he is performing at capacity right now. This is all we will ever get from him. There are better alternatives.

Jose Iglesias?

So what excuses are we using for Lester s***ing on himself tonight: bad umpires, bad fielding, cheap hits, bad luck, space aliens, or George Bush?

Who the hell is that guy sitting next to V...looks like the team therapist consoling him. "Its OK V....your still the best...Its OK"

I can hardly wait to hear Lester's postgame conference with the press.

"I gotta do better. I gotta pitch better. This is unacceptable"

In other words, he is going to play last game's presser in a video room.

At least he admits it when he's pitching like crap. Unlike a certain slack jawed west coast transplant rotting away on the DL right now who would always say "I made good pitches, they just got to me" no matter how awful his slop was last year.

Iggy has been out for five games with back problems. Nate Spears is as versatile as Punto and better offensively. He had a good spring training. He deserves a shot.

I don't know...I like space aliens myself...has a nice ring to it.

So far he is just not making his pitches tonight and I don't know what to think about that...he is one pitch away from this game looking to be in serious trouble and he has been that way since the 1st inning.

I'd like to see Ciriaco replace Punto.

Read the game thread. No shortage of excuses for him or for Gonzalez striking out on a ball thrown on the third base line.

Yeah, give me Ciriaco over Punto anyday. He's hitting .300 in AAA, he's got wheels like crazy. He scored from 2nd on a sacrifice bunt twice in ST. I've never seen that happen ever in my life without an error. He did it twice.

I think Ciriaco should replace Pedey when he goes on the DL, where he should be, to prevent further damage to his thumb.

Exactly. There are 3 scenarios that could happen with Lesters post game presser.

1. Lester skips out on his presser and goes home. Pumpsie calls him unaccountable, says he's not a leader.

2. Lester says he felt great, felt like he was executing pitches, but was getting hit hard. Pumpsie says that he's just not a good pitcher if that's the best he can give us.

3. Lester says he just wasn't executing his pitches the way he needs to. Says he needs to go back into the video room and see if there's something off mechanically. Pumpsie says "I've heard this s*** too much. He's just replaying last games presser".

Yeah. That seems fair.

Didn't he also score on a suicide squeeze? There's no reason to have an old pudgy utility IFer unless he can beat the tar out of the ball.

I prefer option 1. He goes home and refuses to speak to anyone until he can walk the walk. Right now all I hear from him is talk, and its getting old. As Yoda said, "Do or do not do; there is no try".
