Aviles is an idiot. He chops the first pitch he sees, a 96 mph jamb-job, when the tying run is on first and it's a guy that could steal. No patience to let the runner try and get in scoring position or a good pitch to hit.

The Sox have plenty of excuses for a poor showing but there is no excuse for the way the guys that are playing...especially the established vets have played in this game.

He isn't getting a free pass from me.

Why not pinch run Podsednik for Nava and try to allow him to steal a base? He can still run; he sure can't hit.

Well it stands to reason that you can't win them all but if we don't come back, we are still in good shape. We win tomorrow, get back to .500, take the off day and then head home, and then we have our two aces set to face Tampa to try to get us a winning record.

Yeah, their names are Beckett and Lester. And if Bard does his job tomorrow they'll be in a position to get us a winning record.

No, they're just the O's and you'll be made aware of that when they fall off a cliff sometime in June. They aren't for real.

Beckett I'll give it to you. He does look like an ace. But, although Lester is my favorite player, I don't know if I can call him an ace yet.
