Oooh Wheeler, that was Jarrod Saltalamachia, methinks it's time for early retirement, tell your grandkids how you were pretty good for awhile with the Rays.

We have Lester and Beckett going vs Seattle and then I can see us making a "f*** you" statement vs Tampa. We kicked their asses last time.

wich beckett ? last time i check he was playing golf lol:thumbsup:

This is about the time last year when the Sox started winning many more than they lost and all seemed right with the world.

He's been great or very good in 4 of his 6 starts this year and he was coming off a long layoff his last time out. Seattle is the perfect team for him to face to get back on track.

It took a 3 game sweep in skanks territory for us to pull even last year. The scene is set.

As usual nothing is simple for the Sox. Nava is not the player that WMB is but Nava is really not blocked at this point. Who would you rather have out there....Byrd???? d-mac even if he was not on the DL?????

WMB is likely going to have to go back down once Youk is ready. Either they have to get some production out of Youk or they have to do something to get his trade value above zilch.

When does Youk come off the DL? I think he must only be a few games away at this point.

The schedule doesn't matter when they've been as poorly as they were so far. It's not an overstatement at all. They are still playing against MLB players and they have been absolutely terrible in all facets of the game at one point or another.
They are about 10 -14 games off the pace where they should be. There is nothing remarkable about that.

I agree that youk has to get his ab's either way.... But sending WMB down would cause a mutiny in Boston

I like the putting him in LF idea.

Some may disagree' date=' but I think WMB at ss and aviles in LF is a better option[/quote']

By "some" you mean "everyone?"

I just don't think the Sox will move WMB anywhere that he has not played before unfortunately. I think he actually has played a little SS though. I have to go look but somewhere I seem to remember he has played a little at SS.

The problem or one aspect of the problem is that he would have to play everyday. Keeping him here to have him play a couple times a week won't really do the Sox any good. In that respect, they might end up sending him down so that he does play every day.

Remember there was talk of bringing him here? What a disaster that would be.

I remember when there was talk of trading for peavy and signing beltran....... Pretty sure we'd be above .500 with those 2 :)

He was drafted as a ss, sox moved him to 3b

Nope... Some means some.... The kid has played ss until he was drafted, he plays 3b very well.... Moving him over 25 feet would be alot easier transition than playing left field at Fenway!???? And aviles can and has played every OF spot??

So was Pedroia and he's far superior defensively.

Boy the Sox are going to have so many different jersey types to peddle this year...100th year jersey. mothers day breast cancer awareness Jersey, they had that other "original" Sox jersey they wore for a game.....and then there are the regular 2012 jerseys all with the Fenway 100 year patch

3 errors in 9 games. Move him to short and that ugly # skyrockets further.

I really don't see how that applies to this argument?? WMB will get ate up in LF... Everyday outfielders have trouble with the monster? Your saying we should either put a defensive liability in LF or to send a kid,who is hotter than anyone in MLB not named Josh Hamilton, back down to AAA??
