And Bard sucks in back to back games.

Daniel Bard's 2011 stats, April 1-Sept 1:

ERA: 1.49

BAA: .151

OPSa: .463

Think our bullpen could use a guy like that?

Really.

So Bard is in charge now? I sure hope not.

Are you serious? Didn't you hear Bards comments last week when they asked him to pitch out of the pen to help out the depleted BP?

Actually Pumps I don't think Buch was showing V up. I think he was so disappointed in himself that he could not even lift his head and look V in the eyes.

Remember what V said when he sent Iggy down? I wonder if we just saw a repeat of that.

You are probably right. It didn't look good though. It looked unprofessional.

Ehh, relievers are inconsistent. If they were consistent they'd be starters.

Well ya' Doj but the comparison is not starters to relievers it is relievers to relievers and our guys are a complete mystery every time out...at least most of them are. Are you saying you think relievers by virtue of being relievers should be a complete mystery every time out?

If Doubrant keeps pleasantly suprising us, Bard has to be in the pen. We will soon have enough options to patch up the rotation. Bucholz will hang around and pitch some good games.

You already admitted that you know its not going to happen.

Why do you keep presenting facts and arguments for it?

Let me put it this way.

I'm not going to angst about relievers who have the odd bad outing as long as the pattern is OK.

Everyone still clamoring for Dice-K.

You'll be sorry, especially if he goes to the pen.

DiceK deserves a shot; so does Cook, based on his stats. Either of those guys is likely to be better than LackeyWakefieldMillerWeiland. Bard fortifying the pen sounds good to me.

Yeah, he threw the whole pen under the bus. At 98 MPH.

He's been bad but I'm gonna wait til the middle or end of may to sound the alarm. How long did it take him to get his s*** straight before the back injury last year? I remember being a couple months.

Probably because he's mad at the FO -- because he knows it's not going to happen -- and because it wouldn't mean a thing to tell them, he rants here to put how he feels into words and arguments in front of SOMEONE.

In other words, pretty much the same reason most of us present arguments here about our issues with the team.

:dunno:

Guess I am frustrated that the FO is not making the move that I consider an obvious way to improve the team.

The last thing we want is Dan in the pen. The guys been great out of the 4 spot. You dont hurt the rotation to save the bullpen.

I wish we had Cespedes. For his first time at Fenway he is playing pretty well defensively...

Like those of us with patience knew he would.

....and as you are typing that some AAA nobody takes him off the monster for a double.

Alright. I get it. No more comments about Bard in the rotation unless someone starts it first:

When I look at his game log, I'm seeing a higher ERA. Where'd you get these numbers?
