I don't know if they will move Buch to the DL. I think they believe he is just struggling a bit with his recovery from the back...sending him to the DL won't really help that No?????

 

There are certainly other guys in that pitching staff that can head south...Mr Albers comes to mind.

He took two good sliders (as he usually do) and swung at a bad one. Same thing every other game. He can't hit that pitch.

The team is better served with Bard as a starter. I don't understand how people can be certain Cook will succeed as a starter in the ALE.

 

I'm not certain at all. But I think he's earned a shot. They signed him and he's pitched much better than expected. If they don't bring him up he can walk May 1.

Doubront and Bard have not been a disappointment at all especially when you consider they are the 4 and the 5. Still think there is a chance they might end up the best 4 and 5 anybody has.

 

x2, these guys could easily be #2 and #3 on many other teams.

I don't know what happened that made these players get so entitled. If you play like a loser, you should not expect to keep your job. Its as simple as that. Buchholz has given 5+ runs every single start. He should go where he's told, and suck it up.

Who cares if Buch doesn't like it. I'm sure he's aware he can't keep that ball down even if it were weighted and needs some practice where it doesn't harm our record.

This is a good spot for Cook because we really don't face anybody that can hit till late May or something like that. As bad as Buch has been just don't be surprised if Cook gets lit up like a Christmas tree.
