All we need from Byrd is for him to be the .200 - .250 hitter he's started off with us as (haha admittedly small (even tiny) sample size)

It's getting harder for to defend Youk... He looks like his legs are completely shot.

Especially when you've got a guy in AAA right now in Middlebrooks who plays 10x better defense, and is OPS'ing 1.208. Stole his 3rd base today. Hit a triple. Scored a run. Had 2 walks. The guy does everything, and the Sox have Youk who is hitting like I would expect Jamie Moyer to hit right now and moving the same.

Angels down big; Rangers winning again. If that holds up the Angels, after spending all that money, will be 7.5 games behind the Rangers and 6-11. Ouch!

The Red Sox should definitely ride Youk as long as they can to try to get him going to make him valuable in a trade if they go that route. The offense is good enough I feel to hide a slumping Youk for now as he tries to find himself. Bringing up Middlebrooks now and benching Youk now wouldn't make much sense. We could get a solid return on Youk if he finds the grove he did last season. I honestly don't think Youk has been as bad at third as some of you want to make him out to bed.

Spending money doesn't always means you are going to win. Just ask us, lol.

Nesn sucks this year... They are taking more and more attention off of baseball. They have missed so many plays this year showing other s***! Is anyone else furious about this?

Anyone else really like the offensive potential of an outfield combination of Ells, Sweeney and Ross?

Ells and Sweeney with the great OPS and Ross with the ability to dial it deep.

It will, but thats a lot of games to be behind a team as good as the Rangers.

Not to mention CC. The outfield's offensive output is not something I'm concerned about.

I am even more excited by the potential that Carl Crawford could return to his pre- Boston form and really make this offense incredible.
