I've always agreed with that. They shouldn't even announce their names. They should be like ninjas out there and just do their job. It's not the fan's fault that the umps couldn't make it as players.

Matt Barnes was our 1st round pick last season. Going into tonight, and through 5 innings tonight, he has had 34 K's in 21 IP, 0 Runs Allowed, 4 BB. And apparently is pumping 101.

Stick your head in the sand if you'd like, but everything that has been said and written in the last six months say he's the reason why half the pitching staff gained significant weight and stopped listening to the coaching staff. And he never denied any of it.

I'm not arguing either way, I'm arguing ignorance on the subject because I don't know. I have never met Josh, I have not seen how he interacts with his teammates in the clubhouse. Neither have you.

 

Honestly other than media members who hate him, have you ever heard a player come out and say that hate Beckett?
