Why did the Red Sox think Punto and the other jack ass was a better option then Scutaro?

I don't know. The Red Sox and their inability to deal with the SS position is one of the mysteries of the universe. Rarely have gotten it right....... ever!!

Remys voice grates on me a bit and orsillo is too impartial. I don't want hawk harrelson but don gets a tad too excited for the other team in my opinion. I don't wanna hear our own announcers scream their heads off when arod launches one over the monster.
Wow, Orsillo and Remy get on your nerves. They are about as easy a listen as there is in baseball. Some of the broadcast teams from around the country are really terrible. I do like Bert Blyleven in Minnesota.

They wanted stay under the cap I guess, and Scutaro allowed that. But yes, this is a mystery. :dunno:

Harrelson and Sterling are amongst the worst ever, I am sure. I cannot stand either of them. Florida's TV crew are pretty bad too, but nothing like those two morons.

"He gone!" - seriously, what the f*** is that? How does he think that's a good or clever thing to say? And Sterling's calls are abominable.

Big step forward by Bard tonight. He has done nothing but throw strikes. The 0 walks is a huge step in his development. Some of his pitches have been too good, but if you avoid walks, you can give up a few hits and avoid big inning. Now, we need to get to Drabek, who is pitching the best game he has ever pitched against us.

I'll sell my left arm for some offense. Not the right though' date=' need that for....stuff[/quote']

If you're parting with body parts, at least hold out for a World Series win in exchange.

the 5 th was Bard's best inning. Mixed his pitches very well. Didn't over use his fastball and it was most effective. That's what we want to see.

Oh my God Ells was lucky on that 2-2 count. That was strike 3 and the ump sent one of his gifts our way. I cannot believe how terrible that ump is.

I like The Latino ESPN broadcasters. Ernesto Jerez (Republican Dominicana) Guillermo Celis (Mexico). I think they are impartial and funny. Orsillo and Remy IMO have a line but are funny sometimes.

Well truth be told, Bard was up in the zone with his FB right from the first inning and was throwing to many FB to boot. All those early hits were FB up in zone and he was not tired at that point.

He needs to have more confidence in his other pitches and mix them in and he could really use the help of an experienced catcher. Where are you Crash Davis when we need you?

Are you guys really counting, or is this just a cliche talking point. Drabek just got praised by you two (Elktonnick) for mixing it up, and Bard is too FB happy. As of this post Bard has thrown 44/84 FB (52%), Drabek 36/72 (50%)..... you guys really noticed those 2 extra fastballs over 5 innings that prevented them from being even-Steven? Sorry, not buying.
