They supposedly have been dating for a year....I give them credit for keeping it so low-keyed that the media vultures didn't get a hold of it until they announced the engagement. She and her 5 year old daughter are moving to FL for ST and will marry after the season

Not likely. She has a 5-year old but she's never been married. Obviously she scores without getting rings just like her brother.

That is just gold. Well done.

I wish I had money. I mean' date=' seriously. Youk is awesome but he looks like an accidental byproduct of the Manhattan project.[/quote']Unfortunately, his looks are genetic. I sat near his dad at a Spring training game, and he looks just like the son with that big old ugly head.

Aren't everyone's?;)

Some genetic traits don't get passed on. Apparently that big old bucket shaped head is a dominant gene in the Youkilis family. It would would look really bad on a girl.

Would it be worse if she inherited Youk's brains?

I don't know Tom Brady, but man do I feel sorry for him. Imagine having to call this dumb bastard a member of your family. What a freakin' curse.

This is just a rumor from a media rumor. Turns out she is going to Florida but its because BC offered her a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training- She's a Brady so she will compete with the other elite pitchers invited to camp.

I see a whole lot of bad stuff here about Youkilis. Brainless, ugly, etc. Probably just a lot of kidding.

I don't see Youks that way at all. First of all, he's a damn good hitter when he's healthy--one of the best.

And he was an all-star 1st baseman after he was moved over there from 3B when he was younger.

Seems like they needed a first baseman. Last year, he got unceremoniously moved back to 3B because the GM had a love affair with a 1st baseman from the West Coast. No complaints from Youks.

The last two years, the Red Sox have collapsed at roughly the same time Youks went down with injuries.

Two years ago, Pedroia went down with him, and that sealed their fate. This year Youks was injured and wasn't part of the September collapse. Maybe that contributed to it. Maybe, too, his hernia problems stemmed from having to go back to 3B at age 33. He didn't bitch about it.

Oh yes. There was that clubhouse story by one of those irresponsible sports writers who printed some juicy quotes about Ellsbury's injury--which was mishandled by the Red Sox--not by Youks.

So what's the big deal about Youks? He wasn't even one of those beer and chicken guys. And he did not lose two Super bowls to the Giants.

Nothing is wrong with Youks except that he has a big ol' Oooogly head.

Yeah, as evidenced by my username I obviously love the guy. He's a hideously deformed mutant with a hair-trigger temper and probably works as a supervillian during the offseason. But he's a great player.

Hey, Ty Cobb was a racist and once beat up a one-handed guy, and I'm pretty sure Babe Ruth ate a child or two at one point. (Probably because much like rats get mixed in with hot dogs nowadays, in the 20s it was probably child laborers).
