I love 4 things about this game:

Rondo

Pierce

The sound of the PA guy when Ray Allen hits a three(classic)

The fact that Lin finally is having bad games although he wasn't all that great to start.

Lin was so overrated/over-hyped. He was getting that Tim Tebow treatment for a while, nobody would shut the hell up about him.. when he really wasn't that good anyway, he just had a few good games, only reason it was made into such a big deal was because he played for the Knicks. CJ Watson came up from the D-League a few years ago and did similar s*** to what Lin did and nobody cared because he played for the Warriors.

Except for Lin was actually playing well. I think all of you people upset over his overhyping are as irritating as the Whoopee Goldbergs and s*** who wear his jerseys and hype him up. Through 13 games he's still averaging over 20 points. Far off from being "a few games of not being that good". Give people some credit when it's due. Christ.

He might never be heard from again a month or two from now, but he might turn into a decent everyday player, he might turn into a star. You guys are reacting JUST AS QUICKLY AND IRRATIONALLY AS THOSE OVERHYPING HIM. That's what's making me laugh at all of these Lin haters popping up, like its his fault he's from Harvard, or the media is trying to magnify everything he's been doing, or the fact that the same media also stresses the fact that he's asian.

If he played the whole year, he would have had close to the most turnovers ever. All that matters is that this will all be funny if the Knicks miss the playoffs again, they have a 4 game lead for the 8 spot, or if they get swept in the first round by the Bulls or Heat.

You make it sound like turnovers are all that uncommon for a high-scoring guard. If he scores 25+ ppg, who cares? Focusing on turnovers in D'Antoni's system is pointless, even moreso if the primary ball-carrier is a score-first type of player.

Get off his sack. If anything I hope he's good all year so I can hear everyone rationalize why they think he's going to flop next year, or why he wasn't good in the first place.

Oh well, I didn't jump on the Linsanity train, and I also ain't jumping on this bitter bandwagon that says he was never good and he was just a fluke or whatever. If he never scores a point again it won't bug me, but it will disturb me how all of these *******s will come out and gloat that Linsanity is over.

Turnovers are uncommon for most scoring PG's. Rondo, Rose, and Chris Paul don't get a lot of turnovers per game. The league leader, though just happens to be Russell Westbrook, a slight exception.

Their systems are more conservative than the Knicks', your argument isn't encompassing many aspects of the game at all, like how OKC and NY use explosive, high-octane systems. Paul, Rose and Rondo are 3 of the best ball-handlers in basketball as well.

Out here the LA Lakers may have turned the corner recently with some nice wins but we need a point guard and if we don't get one we aren't going anywhere when the playoffs take over. When Phil Jackson was here and ran the Triangle Offense a point guard was not a necessity but with that offense junked a man at the point is of paramount importance.....and Derek Fisher is not the answer. I astounded the Lakers haven't understood that point. In fact, flush with that big NBA Title win over the Celtics in 2010, they allowed themselves to get careless and resign Fisher for three more years when he should have been released. Hey, maybe we can steal Rondo from you.

Derek Fisher has never been a good starting option, just a roleplayer type. They got screwed out of a chance to land CP3, but they would've had to have given up quite a bit. IMO the Lakers have peaked already, and need to start thinking about what happens when the best player in basketball is gone.

A Howard-Paul duo would have been insane. Now the Lakers are sort of tied up with what they have. They kind of went down the same road as the Celtics by stocking up on vets, and now the vets are getting older, and other teams are passing them up.

So I'm a Lin hater because I don't think he deserves all the hype and media talking about him because he's played good in like 10 games? lol. Lin gets talked about like he is some kind of NBA superstar. I was watching the Thursday night game against the Heat like a week ago and they called Lin a top 10 PG in the NBA and ranked him ahead of guys like John Wall, Kyrie Irving and Kyle Lowry. s*** like that is just laughable.

I don't think he sucks, I'm actually really surprised he put up numbers like this for a decent stretch, I saw him in Golden State and thought he was a complete scrub, he has already proved me wrong, but I'm still convinced he wont keep this up and is highly overrated right now due to the team he plays on. I don't hope he fails, he seems like a really cool humble guy, the media is just annoying as f*** with him and hypes up to be a lot better then he is, like they did with Tebow.

Yes, so they don't commit many turnovers. Carmelo is still a lot better than Lin, and Westbrook is only 23, so he has time to improve.

The Tebow thing is not comparable because he was never good at his job at any point, he jist won and took care of the ball. The s*** about complaining about the hype is exactly what I take issue with, not whether you actually hold ill-feelings toward him. Just give him some credit and learn to be take what the media tells you about anything with a grain of salt, it will save you a lot of stress. I don't pay a lot of attention to any of this, but I think it's kind of ridiculous that you're already saying that this proves he's overhyped. He's obviously overhyped, and the fact that he's had a few bad games now doesn't prove a lot, but being that reactionary is exactly the reason why he's overhyped in the first place. Good ole human behavior!

Yeah but it's not an.accurate comparison to compare a rather gutsy ball-handler in a up-tempo system to elite and smart ball-handlers in conservative systems.

You are now being ridiculous, Anthony is obviously better, you're going off the path of the discussion now. I didn't ask for a list of guys that were obviously better. Lin has played 13 games.

Not to ruin anyone's day but did you folks catch the Celtics-Lakers game today? It was a dandy. I still think this is the greatest pro-basketball rivalry of them all despite the fact they play 3,000 miles from one another. All those NBA Finals over the past decades for one thing and there is always a personal conflict or two or three when these teams meet. Just for the record, today did end a weird trend in their regular season rivalry. To the best of my memory, the past four seasons the Lakers won in Boston wile the Celts won in LA. Today's 97-94 Lakers win changed that, but I would bet if they played 20 times a year it would come out 10-10. As Chick Hearn once said, these two teams were made for each other.

Happy to say, though, that today was a good day for my side.
