Can't they just get rid of Bogar already' date=' I don't want to have the thought of him possibly being back for 2012 be there any longer.[/quote']

As I posted yesterday, they would but he can't find his way HOME:)

Seriously, they need to get rid of that bonehead. If they're that fast to pull the plug on our pitching coach we've had for only one year but they better get rid of Bogar's ass. We lost our GM, manager, and pitching coach. It won't hurt to get rid of a 3rd base coach.

Bravo!

SCM33's prophesy in effect... Heads continue rolling... who is next? Bogar? Lackey?' date=' we'll see.[/quote']

Manager, GM and now the pitching coach. Throw the bench coach in there too, too much of the same.

Yup, blow it up.....everyone who had a hand in it.

Beckett, Lackey, Varitek, Wakefield.....and possibly Ortiz and Youkilis next. Throw the bench coach in there too, too much of the same. Wipe the slate clean.

I am hesitant about Youkilis, because he is a grinder and we can see his emotion/passion of the game and his will to succeed.....but if he is unliked in the clubhouse and causing problems.....add him too.

IMO the guy in your avatar should visit Bogar's office

Bogar must have secret videos of beer pong in the clubhouse; kept all the delivery receipts for the fired chicken; and stashed away a vial of Ortiz's "eye drops."

He has leverage.

Youk is a "grinder." C'mon SCM, you're better than lame analysis like that.

Youk is injured and severely overrated. He should go. Even Manny was sick of his tantrums.

Cherington has been working behind enemy lines for the last ten days. Now he must get his chess pieces in order and start his reign in Boston. We'd of been better had Curt Young not come to Boston at all.

:) Tell us how you really feel. :)

Your Avatar brought back some memories:

So I have breakfast with this guy and his wife in a Palm Springs hotel some years ago. I say I'm from Boston.

He says. You know, Ted Williams was in my outfit in Pensacola during WWII. I knew him well.

He was a great guy--well-liked by everybody. :)

Be careful what you wish for. They could replace Bogar with Julio Lugo.

, good thing Lugo's too busy being a .345 OPS bench player for the Braves.

What does that have to do with this thread? Was the guy a pitching coach? :dunno:

Sounds like Young was pretty lax and expected his pitchers to do their work on their own time. Obviously, they didnt. Young is still a good coach, but just doesnt fit when your players are overpaid fat cats. He would be good in spots where he has kids with hunger who will work their fingers to the bone. He can guide them. But Boston was a no win situation for his style

Ha. No. The guy's avatar is a pic of the young Ted Williams. Had to tell him that story.:)
