Easy to say, hard to do. We as fans tend to get worked up with each other when the team is struggling. Here's a way to put it in perspective: like it or not, the Sox players care very little what we think of them. They are paid to do a job. Do they want to win? Sure. But, they are PAID employees. They don't "choose" their team for free, like we do. I really doubt Youkilis is going to call every poster on this board to say "sorry for hitting .001." He doesn't really give a rat's behind...sorry, to break it all of you. Secondly, players are getting paid handsomely, quite handsomely to be exact. I would think they know that getting ripped by the media and the fans comes with the job.

Chalk this one up to going up against "Cy" Drabek. Bard did better than the line indicates.

If that's the "get the butterflies out" start, then sure I'm fine with giving him the ball for a couple of more. My only concern is that - if he doesn't work out in the rotation, how will it affect his move back to the pen..
