I feel like the default answer for most people when a SS is bad is to suggest a move to 2B. Lowrie is a really bad 2B too.

 

Well, being fair, he has played only 34 games as 2B through 4 seasons, and his defense is just above the average.(His Rdrs is 1)

for any defensive metric to say anything accurate you need more than a full seasons worth of data. so statistics on 34 games worth of defense means absolutely nothing at all. the eye test is all you need and the dude turns a double play like a statue at 2B and has bad range everywhere on the diamond.

well, by statistics maybe, but when somebody obviously lacks the skills to play a position, its pretty apparent if you watch them struggle for even a week straight at the position. Lowrie is that bad I think. I have hope he could play 3rd at some point in the majors.
