I don't see how this makes any sense. The Sox played the Yankees 6/9 times @NYY, and the first series the Sox went in 0-6 and still won 2/3. I need better reasoning than "I think" to believe that a Sox team that is getting healthy and clicking is going to lose 7/9 games to the Yankees while playing 6/9 at home against a Yankees team who is missing A-Rod and whose pitching got torched to the tune of a 6.27 ERA so far against BOS.

Memory being the key word. This is not 2009. The Red Sox will make some tweaks of their own, none bigger than getting two aces back in Lester and Buchholz and they'll have the best team on paper that they've had all year.

who's your cable provider? just get the mlb package man..... they break down the payments to like $40 a month.... the only problem that i run into is with saturday games ( fox has the rights to the games) and the fact that away games are aired with the away announcers. my brother has dish network and gets the games broadcasted in NESN, but i have to listen to the Orioles anouncers? awful!

Josh Reddick will start in right field Friday night against the Mariners.

He'll make the start, despite J.D. Drew being 9-for-25 (.360) with two homers against Friday's starter Felix Hernandez. Reddick hasn't officially taken Drew's job in right field, but actions speak louder than words sometimes.

I have Time Warner Cable but might switch to COX.

 

That sucks that MLB Packages or Dish (Driect TV or Dish Network) means you have to listen to away announcers. Why is that? Makes no sense, you watch the Red Sox games you should get the NESN announcers.

Couple notes:

 

-Lackey started out rough and I thought it was going to be another one of those outburst outings. He settled down pretty nicely.

 

-Nice to see Mikey again, love that guy.

 

- Ellsbury flashing the power once again, it's too bad he's using HGH

 

- God damn DPs. We should have much more runs but whatever we're winning *so I can't really complain.

 

- Muddy Chicken is a f***ing boss. That is all. I like laser show better though

 

- Papelbon looked great tonight. Love having the 1,2 punch of Bard and Papelbon.
