Well no one who didn't watch the game will believe it, but Weiland had some redeeming qualities in the start, he showed a good fastball and some good poise. He just had some inconsistent moments that killed him.

 

Summary of my impression of his start: I can see why he's a high end prospect. I can also see why he's projected for the bullpen. Not sure I agree yet. I'd need to see him again. At this point that's probably not happening this year however, I suspect the next callup will be Doubront.
