every team goes through tough skids... we just happen to have had ours early and before the all-star break. the yanks are due for theirs with their age hopefully catching up with them and some tough road games ahead... as for the rays hanging around, i just don't see them making a "push". they'll linger around but i'm not too worried about them.

Be careful..the Rays have very, very good pitching....and pitching does win....they also have a manager who can run rings around TIT-o....might not mean much, but it certainly is an advantage for them....

I'll be the first one to harp on Tito, but Maddon is a dope. Any manager who loses his DH because he hands in a lineup card with 2 third baseman is a boob.

Sorry....you're way off base, my friend..I'll give you the two 3rd basemen screwup, but my son was in the Rays organization for 5 years and I had a great chance to watch Maddon....minors and majors...he is miles ahead of most....

To me he is worse, because he is arrogant and thinks he is smarter than most. He is not. He's every bit the bonehead that the others are.

Can't disagree about the general mentality of the managers, but if you put him up against TITO THE CONFUSED or GIRARDI THE PUPPET, I have to go with Maddon...

guys, the Yankees went through their skid...they played .500 ball for 45 games...that could be it for the year...sure, they'll lose a couple in a row here and there, but they are not going to go 2 -10 twice like is looks like another team might be doing as we speak....plus I think we all know that the Sox will find it pretty hard to win 8 of the last 9 against them.....

Reddick triples. Sutton drives in the run. Of course, Hamels is out but Reddick already had a hit on him.

 

Conclusion: Reddick never sits again. McDonald can now be DFA, also.
