Wakefield has generally been successful in Tropicana, with a 3.40 career ERA there.

 

Personally, I'm feeling more and more convinced that Wakefield is actually still capable of pitching to career numbers. The downside of that is... he's still a knuckleballer and he's bound to break down physically at some point.

I don't think we have to cross our fingers. Wake has shown us in previous starts that he's still got it. I have faith in him and besides with the way our offense is rolling it won't even matter how he pitches.

Yep... haha. Basically no one on earth ever has any idea where a knuckleball will go. Although apparently less wind, higher humidity and higher barometric pressure induce more movement.
