So, I just happened to tune in to MLB.com's look in right as Buck hits that home run...and the Guardians' announcer says "And that slices the lead in half! It's 4-2!"

And I was sort of like...really?

This is hilarious hahahaha.

Our TV announcers make it a point to throw out every sports cliche' and annoying pet peeve of sports broadcasting to actual sports fans as much as possible.

RBIs, pull with 3 runs (5-2 score)... you name it.

If you want to hear the best radio announcers in the business' date=' go listen to Tom Hamilton.[/quote']

Our radio announcers are top notch, most of the time I put the surround sound on the radio and the game on TV and use the tivo to match it up.

Lester vs. Talbot tomorrow.

Talbot is expected to be activated from the 15-day disabled after spending the past five weeks working his way back from a right elbow injury. In his last big league start, the righty logged eight shutout innings in a road win over the Angels

That works? I guess I'll have to get Tivo for the playoffs.

I'm ashamed to acknowledge that Jade McCarthy is from my home town (Newton).

Thank god for J.C. Monahan and Isaac Isamov.

And Yeszir, of course.

Depends on the station. 1100, 1480, and 104.5fm all delay the broadcast a few extra seconds because a TON of people do this.

Gonna be back this weekend.

But right now we have to deal with the OF of Brantley, Carrera, and Choo. I like that for right now.

It's amazing the technical terms that have been invented to excuse being incorrect. :harhar:

Just got home from work..Knew it wouldnt be easy against Beckett..Tribe Pitching has kept them in most games..I do like Travis Buck though, if he can keep from getting injured..

Varitek had a really nice game. He hit a HR that ended up being the margin of victory, threw out two runners on attempted steals and called a very nice game. He was the player of the game.
