His 95mph running fastball is absolutely filthy. He needs to harness a bit more control though, but regardless, he's been outstanding. Especially when Jenks has sucked and ultimately DL'ed.

As do I, I'm just saying his value is even more noticeable right now because Jenks has struggled and Albers has taken to the 7th inning role seamlessly while Jenks has been out, and he's been brilliant there.

If Jenks come back and pitches like he did earlier in the year, this bullpen is gonna be pretty damn good with Hill, Bard, Albers, and Pap.

Not to mention Aceves. He's a great pitcher. That's 5 fantastic arms in the bullpen, 5 arms that I would put up against any bullpen in the AL right now too.

So much for that nap. Yanks got jobbed on Variteks AB. Good to see Girardi get run. These Yankees, unlike the Bronx zoo days, really haven't had a lot of internal strife. But with a guy as noticeable as Posada throwing a hussy fit, the years of peace may be at an end. Very pessimistic about this team right now. CC was good through 6 and if Winters actually calls a true K zone, then he gets through 7 with only 2ER. But our offense cannot hit good pitching, which will be a problem going forward

I got in late for the game and just finished fast forwarding through the DVR. I'm loving this game. Beckett was filthy. Big hits by Lowrie, Crawford, Ellsbury, and Captain Varitek. Varitek got a big walk too. AGon is just a flat out stud. I'm liking this guy Albers more and more. If Jenks turns out to be a bust, Albers is a nice find.
