It's the battle of the stomach flu. Buchholz and Weaver both missed their starts on Sunday with "internal distress" or "the shits".

Weaver is 6-0 with a 0.99 ERA. He didn't face the Red Sox when they came to town or that bitch would be 5-1 with a 6.43 ERA. Yeah. That's how much damage we're about to do to this guy. His butthole is going to be sore after this, but not because of the stomach flu.

Weaver is 2-4 with a 4.40 ERA lifetime against the Red Sox, 1-2 with a 7.76 ERA at Fenway. Last year, Weaver went 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA vs BOS.

Buchholz will be on the bump for the Sox, having struggled recently. But all is forgotten, because this is May. April can get bent, it's over. We're 1-0 in May. Crawford is hitting .500. Wakefield threw 5.2 IP of 0.00 ERA baseball.

Buch is 4-2 with a 4.17 ERA in his career vs LAA, but went 3-0 with a 2.29 ERA vs LAA in 2010.

The Red Sox are hitting just over .200 with RISP this year, and we're going to bump that average up quite a few points against Weaver. Count on it.

GO SOX!!!! LETS GET STREAKING!!!!!!

You're going to have to take one for the team Palodios. Don't watch Sox games so we can win.

I don't think that's why they won. I wasn't watching most of the game last night when that scrub shut us out. Its the Beat this team Mojo.

Does it seem eerily similar that last year, we got swept by the O's and then had our jumping off point through a 4 game sweep of the Angels in early May? And now we've just salvaged a win against the Mariners and are going to host, who else, the Angels for a 4 game set, just a day before the series started last year?

Lets. Go. Sox.

I think we're incredibly fortunate, that Weaver is coming off of the flu. Yes, I know Buchholz is too, but Weaver has a great distance further to fall at this point. Fortunately, the entire Angel rotation is right handed, so this team will match up incredibly well against them.

Not to mention that now we've already seen 3 of the 4 starters we're facing, and we just saw them a week ago, so it's all very fresh on our mind. More importantly, we just saw their bullpen.

Crawford said it right. The team has it right. April is over. Forget about it. Leave every bit about April i the past. It's May now, and we're 1-0. Build on that.

Regarding Bobby Jenks:

Bobby Jenks believes he's spotted a mechanical flaw that's led to his recent struggles.

Jenks blew a lead in Friday's loss and also in Sunday's win. On Sunday, he faced five men and retired one, allowing a hit and three walks. Jenks believes he has been coming more toward the dugout than to the mound during his delivery. "If there is a good note, I was looking at video, and I am mechanically off. With this, hopefully it's a quick fix," he said. "Everything's there. We're talking a few inches here, and obviously that can make a big difference out on the field. I've always been a guy known for throwing strikes. My walks have always been very low. This is very uncharacteristic. We found the reason why." If the big right-hander is right, he should return to being one of the American League's premier setup men.

Hopefully it's true and it's a quick fix.

We're still 6-4 in our last 10, let's bump that up a bit

Till we make a 10-win games straight rally and at least 5 runs of advantage scenario leave his fat ass meditating about mechanics on the bench.

We are well on our way to sweeping May. Let the trend continue! I guess it's better to have a flu-ravaged clubhouse now than in the fall, but enough with the bad s*** happening.

Hoping to see Remy back tonight, and if not him, then Eck :D

Make it so!

For the time being, 7th inning duty needs to go to Albers. 1 run over 8 innings, if Aceves isn't coming back, Albers is the best option right now.

I've liked what I've seen out of Albers. Jenks stuff is there' date=' he's just having major control issues.[/quote']

Simple tweak in mechanics is all he needs. The stuff is there.

It's May now and it is time to start kicking some ass. Oh Jenks, nice job figuring out what was wrong, I apologize for telling you to become a drunken shell of a man, you didn't deserve that.

Damn. I really hope Francona puts Crawford in the top of the order tonight.

Ells

Craw

Pedey

Gonzo

Youk

Ortiz

Lowrie

Salty

Drew

Keep Drew in the 9 hole for a high OBP guy, turns the line up over well. Swap Craw and Pedey is fine. Maybe build off that walk off that Crawford had.

Well s***.

Pedroia, 2B

Gonzalez, 1B

This line up hits .295 off of Weaver

We need a good start tonight from Buchholz, Weaver has been amazing this year and Im not sure how many runs the offense is going to score off him when they had trouble scoring runs off of guys like Bergesen, Vargas and Doug Fister.

half of the time we hit the ball hard just it's right at somebody. Luck has a lot to do with our s***** start.

Seems to be too common lately, lose to s***** teams and then play a 4 hr root canal game against the Skanks.
