what are you talking about?

Lester was throwing stuff around in the clubhouse. I don't get why-- it is Lowrie's first on the season, he's up 5, pitched well, and is in line for a win. Hard to be angry about that.

Crawford will probably have to wait to go on the road to break out of his slump. He is very tight right now.

The voice of experience.

I mean really. Did he forget how to play baseball? He's one of the best athletes in North America. Jeez.

You mean he's one of the best PAID athletes in North America. His 'skills' on the other hand. Not hitting, not running and just a matter of time before he hurts himself in left field. Would suggest he wear a helmet out there. Anyone in this thread could hit better than he is now. Time to drop him to 9th and let him sit there for a few weeks. Maybe he'll think he is still in Tampa, because otherwise, the boos will be coming when they come back from their West Coast trip.

What would you suggest?

Early retirement.

Things are gonna get ugly at Fenway tomorrow if he doesn't come through

If they haven't started talking with a team in Japan about a possible purchase of Dice-K, I'd recommend doing that as soon as tomorrow's game is complete. I don't know how it would work, but at this point, I'd take just about anything in return, especially money that could go towards off-setting what's left on his contract.

Selling him to a team over there allows both sides an graceful departure from each other, as the Sox would get something in return (as opposed to nothing if they DFA him), and Dice-K would be able to return home to a place where his style works and he can pitch well in front of his fans.

I don't know if there is something wrong with him physically or mentally or if he just wants out of Boston. The Sox will have to figure that out, but they can't just keep rolling him out to the hill every 5th day and ruining a game.
