If they haven't started talking with a team in Japan about a possible purchase of Dice-K, I'd recommend doing that as soon as tomorrow's game is complete. I don't know how it would work, but at this point, I'd take just about anything in return, especially money that could go towards off-setting what's left on his contract.

I'd be like Buchholz was a few years ago. Remember when we basically gave up on the game when he started?

I'd rather send Doubront down for a bit to stretch out and bring up Rich Hill (8.2 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 11 K through 4 outings @ Pawtucket) to replace him. We might have to suffer through one or two more s*** starts out of Dice-K, but eventually we'd be alright IMO.

I said this in another thread... but if you look at Dice-k's track record, it seems like he'll go out and pitch a few stinkers for a while, and then every now and then he'll toss a gem. I think he's about due.
