Guardians in their biggest series of the season. Got relatives in Cleveland. What's not to love about John Adams beating away all night? It's actually pretty cool if you're there in person.

Good' date=' keep the Giants out the playoff. You don't want them in.[/quote']

Why? There are 15 NL teams I'd rather face than the Phillies, and the Giants are the ones with the rotation that could actually challenge them.

Giants pitching are good. Would be great if the Phillies were stunned and lose the DS. Anything could happen.

Trevor Cahill has been terrible since the All Star Break. His ERA is over 4 now.

Great. Maybe he'll be available in the offseason then.

Jared Weaver locked up for 5/85. Great news, I had been getting afraid of him defecting to the Yankees, but then again, it looks like a very good class of pitchers that will be available after the 2012 season.

That was some finish in Detroit, poor Guardians got swept. I got family in Cleveland, and I've been to Progressive Field for a game(vs the Sox, Sox were 1-1), so they're my next favorite team.

It was a fluke of a hot start. You really expect the Guardians to perform the way they did in the beginning of the season? You're crazy.

Just a reminder that I called the Guardians hot start a fluke. Now look at em. They're about to go under .500 and what was their record the first two months of the season? Glad I have a brain it's a shame some people don't.

Tony La Russa....LOL.

Something just struck me watching La Russa come out to change pitchers in the 9th against the Brewers. La Russa has pure, clean auburn hair creeping out of his cap. The only problem is, the dude is 66, going on 67 in October. Who does he think he is fooling? That s*** is pure silver fox by now.

Tool.

Good for him that he has hair at his age. If he doesn't want to look like an old fart and he throws some dye in, good for him too. I do hate the way he over-manages every game.

This is "the" reason to hate him. Laughing at him clinging to a youth that clearly no longer exists is a product of that hate.

I say let what is be. In other words, if you are going bald, embrace the baldness and reject the combover. If you are going gray, go silver fox and reject the Keith Hernandez commercials.

That's just me though.

Silver is not a bad look, but pure white makes you look 100. Who wants that George Washington look.

It all depends on how you sport it. We have a guy at work who is bald on top, white on the sides, but he's a dynamo...you have to jog to keep up with him. We call him "White Lightning". There's worse things.

With that white hair he looked like a senior citizen, but he was only 37. The bright side for him was that he never seemed to age. He just always looked 70 from the time he was 37.
