Really bad start for CC. Just like with his last start against the Angels, he was a lot worse than his line indicates. Basically had nothing tonight, and that has been said too many times about CC as of late.

Really nice day for the offense ... especially because of who contributed. A-Rod (injured), Teixeira (struggling), and Granderson (struggling) have all basically been non-existent coming into today's game ... and they all had really nice days. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. The other nice thing was Soriano, who really seems to be getting in a groove.

 

Colon, on the other hand, sucked, but hopefully it's just a blip in the radar. He had pitched quite well in his last three starts.

 

And it's obviously a nice day for Mo.

There are never any guarantees. If they play their starters they should clinch by the middle of this coming week ... which would give them plenty of time to rest guys before the playoffs start.
