Between Gardner' date=' Jones, Montero, Posada, and Chavez I'm very curious to see how Girardi plans on distributing playing time over this final month.[/quote']

Tell Posada to sit his ass down.

Colon didnt get lucky today. 2 Yankee stadium homeruns, a triple that should have been an out aside from the fact that it struck first base and bounced over Swisher's head. 8 baserunners in 6IP with 6K. It happens

Cano passed 100RBI giving the Yanks the lead. KRob-Mo for the game. 2 run lead to hold' date=' cmon pen[/quote']

Kay mentioned Girardi said he didn't want to use Soriano or Mo today. I'd pitch Wade for the 8th and K-Rob for the 9th myself.

Girardi strongly hinted at no Mo and Soriano today. Makes sense considering their recent workload.

I think Girardi made the right decision. With the heart of the Jays' order up, I'd much rather Robertson than Wade. Against the bottom of the order, with a multi-run lead, I can live with Wade in the ninth (or whoever else they choose to pitch).

Yeah def not the right decision to leave him in.

Oh well, hopefully the Rangers can take the trash out tonight.

They don't play in NY tonight.

There's no trash at Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium is the Big Toilet in the Bronx and you know what is in the toilet--- not garbage.

I didn't necessarily expect Robertson to stay in, but I also don't really have an issue with it. Nothing he can't handle.

Came inside and saw Montero with a nice single. he's 2 for 2 today. I believe thats three straight hits for him.

One more turn through for all six starters.

EDIT: And as I've said so many times, AJ will never be removed.

my hope is that Burnett turns back the clock, throws a ridiculous September and a serviceable October up there so we can pawn him off at maybe 50 cents on the dollar to some unsuspecting nitwit GM in the offseason.

I will tell you y228, I am ecstatic with the way the rotation worked out this yr. Hughes is back and at least showing improved stuff, although his endurance is in the shitter. That can be worked on in ST next yr. Nova has been a godsend and the old guys have been good. I think we're okay with a base of CC, Nova and Hughes to build off of for 2012 (yes, we are resigning CC). You add a solid pitcher to that like a CJ Wilson, a Yu Darvish or a solid trade candidate and you can throw a nice rotation out there. I'd resign Colon, let Garcia walk and have a competition for the #5 spot with Colon vs Warren/Phelps/Mitchell/Noesi. Hopefully we can groom another middle of the rotation to #2 starter out of that quartet before we bring forward Banuelos in 2013. It's nice to see our minor league system contributing to our rotation again.

I really don't think they're going to get a team to take AJ off their hands and pay a chunk of the contract, but who knows.

As for the rotation, I'm right there with you. I never would have thought, going into the season, that Garcia, Colon, and Nova would be this effective for such an extended period of time. I'm also pretty shocked that this team has a legitimate chance at winning 100 games. I really thought this year was going to be similar to 2008 ... and I'm obviously thrilled to be totally wrong.

The one place I disagree is that I'd be quicker to resign Garcia than Colon. I think Garcia's success has a better chance to translate into next year.

The reason why I would do it in reverse is that Freddy is a Type B and you can get a pick for him. Colon wont be a type anything and probably would come cheaper. I dont want to bring either of them back with their names etched into a rotation spot. I want them to battle against another one of our kids in ST

Cashman said "In terms of hitting ability, Montero can be a Manny Ramirez or a Miguel Cabrera"

So glad we didn't trade him to rent Lee for half a season last year.
