This is probably their worst series since 2008 and hopefully for the Yankees this isn't the beginning of the end for their starting pitching. Fortunately they've built up a decent sized lead in the Wild Card standings.

MFY's have scored 14 runs so far today without getting a single hit from Granderson or Tex. Russell Martin is 4 for 4 with 6 RBI. Old man river, Jeter continues on his tear that has raised his average from the .260s to .300.

Russel Martin still sucks and Jeter will come back down to earth eventually. f*** the both of 'em.

I'd much prefer it if Cervelli was their everyday catcher.

Baring catastrophic injury issues, both the Sox and Yankees are making the playoffs. It is what it is. You seem upset by the game results today. Accept it and enjoy reduced stress.

This is basically where I stand. I'd rather them win the division, but I don't view it as all that important. As I've said numerous times this year, I care more about the Rays and Angels games than I do about the Red Sox's games.

WTF happened. It's 7-1 when I leave, I come back and they win 22-9. Worst pitching performance ever. I'm also very very happy we passed on Harden. Can't the Yankees breakdown for once. They have more Grand Slams over the span 5 outs than the Sox have all season. Go get f8cked, NY.

Didn't you watch the first and second game of the series?

You should have heard those clowns in the Yankee Booth. Sterling called it a Granderslam and then he was singing "the Grandyman can." What a humiliation.

Anyone else think the workload is catching up to Colon? He's now at 131 IP. He hasn't topped the 100 innings marks since 2005 and pitched in winter ball prior to this season to try to get a team to take notice of him.

Yanks made history today' date=' by becoming the first team to hit three grand slams in one game.[/quote']and it was ruined by the buffoonery of their radio broadcast team.

Absolutely, but it's something we all knew (including the Yankees) was coming.

Yankees/Baltimore was scoreless with one out in the bottom of the 2nd when Burnett gave up a home run, then a double, then a double, then a double, then a double, then a home run, then a single, then got a DP to get out of it.

Baltimore up 6-0. I haven't seen anyone pitch this badly since Phil Hughes.

He was on the DL with a cut on his index finger on his pitching hand
He offered Bartolo Calzone a bite of his sandwich and Colon almost bit his finger off.
