Figures theres no game today when I got nothing to do tonight. Damn you Holy Thursday

True true, a game tonight would be nice. But there's plenty of good stuff to watch, sports-wise, if you're a basketball or hockey fan. Also Mets and Red Sox tonight.

Mets are awful this year' date=' they can't even catch fly balls.[/quote']

Yeah lol. I really prefer when the Mets are competitive ... just makes NY baseball more interesting down the stretch. But it's not happening this year.

Nice response. Hope they send CC back out. I didn't even think he looked that bad last inning. Got squeezed against Markakis and the Lee single was not hit particularly well.

EDIT: And, for selfish reasons, I want the CG for my fantasy team lol.

After hitting homeruns in back to back at bats, Rupe threw up towards martin's head. No one was pleased obviously in the Yankees dugout and Gardner comes up and smacks one out.

Gardy might be breaking out. A double and a homer after looking terrible for 16 games. If he breaks out' date=' then our running game might kick up again[/quote']He sucks.

Thus far this yr' date=' he has sucked. Last yr, he was very valuable. I hope he can regain that production[/quote']He's a one tool player, and you can't steal first base.

His defense and arm are pretty solid. Offensively, this season, he has been a one tool player. He's still seeing over 4 pitches per plate appearance, but he's expanded his zone a bit and isnt taking the walks he took last season. If he hits to .270 and can walk 70+ times a season, he'll be very valuable for this team. His issue right now is that his BABIP is very low (.189) and he isnt walking. I would give him at least another month to see if he can revert to last yrs solid season.

Y228 what should we expect from Garcia? I'm not being sarcastic or anything because his last outing was real good. Even though he did only play one game.

I'd expect very little out of him. He can't miss any bats, and if his control is just a little off, he has no chance.

Garcia is crafty. He has a ton of big league experience and knows how to pitch. He gets by without a big fastball because he throws a 4 seamer, a 2 seamer, a change, a slider and a splitter. He varies his slider to be a slurve at times and sometimes is looks like a curve. The guy has pulled a Mussina at this point, a converted power pitcher who has learned how to pitch. If he loses his command, then he'll be batting practice, but through 1.5 starts, his command is pretty good. The thing I like about him is that he is around the plate and pounds the zone, but isnt afraid to get guys to chase.
