This is where college baseball really gets fun.

 

I know we're up against it facing #2 Florida, but I hope Mississippi State can pull off a miracle and somehow make it to Omaha.

College World Series begins today with Vanderbilt-UNC and Florida-Texas. UNC up 3-2 in the 5th now. Sonny Gray (18th overall) is struggling for Vandy.

The College World Series is quickly becoming the SEC invitational. Vandy beat UNC 7-3 and Florida beat Texas 8-4 yesterday, and South Carolina most likely will be in the winners bracket after tonight.

 

I'm rooting for Vandy to win it all.

SC is living a charmed life the last few games.

 

I'm really indifferent to who I want to win.

 

SC has already broken LSU's record for consecutive postseason victories.

and with a win SC will join LSU as the only 2 SEC schools with multiple Baseball National Titles.

I kinda like being the only ones in conference to do that.

 

If Florida wins, they'll become the 1st SEC school with titles in each of the big 3 sports (baseball, basketball, and football).

I was dreaming that one day we'd be good enough in basketball to be the 1st to do that.

I just wanna say congratulations to the Gamecocks. They manage to repeat as champions. Not many college teams do that.
