Ok, fair enough, I just wanted to make sure that you weren't f***** yourself. Anyway Dipre is up. He isn't on facebook now but I have a feeling that I'll get his pick in the near future. If not Exman (and Ytrb) can send me their picks and I'll make them all in the morning.

Bobby Parnell, 400K

A big arm with great stuff, easily overlooked because he's, well, a Met, he strikes people out and induces groundballs with solid control.

Damn skippy!

Hellickson was always going to get his shot, though. Niemman would be in the bullpen if Garza didn't get traded, but Garza was on the block all winter.

I love that it finally happened though.

From what I'm reading, the Cubs' package for Garza is 6 for 3? Wtf? Garza is alright, but not that good. Unless all of the Cubs' prospects are crap, there should be no reason that they pull the trigger on this one. After all, Josh Willingham was dealt for a long-shot reliever and a mediocre outfield prospect.

I'm sure that Keeper will enlighten us with respect to some of the players returning from the Cubs. I didn't see any "blue chip" prospects in there, but I'm sure we'll find out more later.

I'll tell you what I know. Chris Archer was the Cubs' best pitching prospect and considered their top prospect overall by Baseball America. They got Archer from the Guardians when they dealt DeRosa.

Hak-Ju Lee was also one of their top prospects. There was some talk that he was the shortstop of the future and that Starlin Castro would be moved to second. Guess that won't happen.

Brandon Guyer, an outfielder who was another top prospect. I don't know anything about Robinson Chirinos other than the fact that he's a catcher. Sam Fuld is a great defensive outfielder. He can make some exciting plays. No power to speak of, but he has pretty good plate discipline and profiles as a 4th or 5th outfielder.

Had the Cubs included Brett Jackson in the deal, they would have given up too much, IMO. As it is, they gave up a lot. But then again, their farm system rarely produces any noteworthy players.
