I hope your right here... from what i've heard its pitching deep draft. We all know you can never have too much pitching and GM's are always looking for more. While i wouldn't mind the Sox resigning drew to a 2 year deal. I'd much rather get a first round pick for him... wish the Royals would have taken him over Infantae!!
One more question open to anyone... with all these picks do we have to worry about the new restrictions with dollars allowed to spend in the draft? Would we have to take more lower slot people due to having to fit in a budget, or does the budget fluctuate with the number of picks you have, ex. 10 picks is 10 mill 8 picks is 8 mill... i know its that much for a pick.
That would kind of suck because how would the draft picks work? We get their first for ells, braves get the 2nd for Mccann, and we would have to wait all the way until the third for compensation for drew!?
But one would think that he is going to gain weight since he is only 21 which will in fact inhibit his range event more. at 6'3 185 theres not doubt his frame could fill out at around 215 in two to three years
Worried about Xander at Shortstop for his longterm health. It seems like larger Shortstops have trouble staying on the field. (Tulo,Hanley,Nomar, A-rod) and the list goes on and on. SS just makes the body break down, especially for larger players.
Very excited for the world cup. Also ecstatic that it will be in our timezzone unlike South Africa and will not have to start drinking as early as I did to watch those games.
Really hope that USA can steal one from Portugal or Germany... was at the exhibition match where we beat Germany, but sadly was against their back ups for 75 minutes of the match so I do not forsee us taking that game.
Hope France does well this year, seeing in how ill be studying abroad in Montreal this summer!
Ells over Cano lmao.... was so happy to break/share the news with my friends who are Yankee fans. One of the prevailing thoughts that they could said was how upset they were that Cano went for the money. LOL! A Yankee fan talking about a player going for money.... My response was I felt the same way about Ellsbury.
Not one had a good response and some decided to not even respond.
Best of luck to Seattle tough division they have out there, they still have a lot more work to do if they want to compete.
Couldnt find a thread to post this, but Kalish went yack again in AAA, which makes 3 in 8 games. Kid has been on a tear maybe well all finally see him where he belongs in the OF at Fenway
I go to school right near DC and i can say they might have gotten a lucky draw with the nats, because they cant hit for anything. I have been to 8 nats games so far this summer and the highest run total they scored was 5 with an average of 1 or 2 a game lol.
As long as Dice-k just hits the strike zone should have a chance to go 5-6 innings
He may be more important but their talent levels may be closer then one may think, watch game tape on how bradley will absolutely take over the game defensively, rondo and him easily make the best 1 and 2 in the league on that side of the ball
