Met both a fat metro and a fat emo.

Came to the following conclusions:

Emo and fat don't match.

Metro and fat don't match.

Proceeded to lower head, facepalm, and wonder when everything started going wrong with the world.

lol wtf have you guys ever gone out? They're wearing jeans and button downs to a club' date=' incredibly standard.[/quote']I know. I agree with you. Pedroia is dressed in a Farmer Jones shirt, but the others are just dressed very standard. I didn't see any gold chains, diamond studs, or any bling or muscle shirts, see thru shirts etc. They could have gone to an office job dressed like that, except for Pedroia.

Ok' date=' it is a rarity but I did find one who is deceased. Orson Wells.[/quote']Orson Welles died about 10 years before the term was first used.

As someone who works in Manhattan, no self-respecting metrosexual would allow himself to get fat, and no one would refer to a fat guy as a metrosexual. Fat guys can be fashionable or well-dressed, but not metrosexual.

Regardless, he fit the definition of a metrosexual.

Regardless' date=' he fit the definition of a metrosexual.[/quote']He was ponderous, probably over 400lbs. He doesn't fit the stereotype, and the whole metrosexual thing is just a stereotype. Orson Welles wasn't going to find any clothes at the Barney's Warehouse sale.

Besides being fat, everything else about him screams metrosexual, he used to wear a corset, well groomed, effeminate and straight. He was a rarity though.

I will give no Woman my essence.

I do not drink branch water, and I don't use fluoridated toothpaste either.

I think of metrosexual's as skinny and slight. Papelbon is one big boy. He's like a brick wall' date=' not what I would think of as a metrosexual. Maybe the metrosexual's are bigger in Europe.:dunno:[/quote']

For the record, and I wish I pointed this out before the discussion started, I CLEARLY said "Eurotrash" before "metrosexual"

I don't see him being one of those effeminate American metrosexual guys that's always into his hair, matching clothes etc. But I see him as one of those frequent clubgoers with the studded earrings, s***** cologne, sunglasses at a night club, and more often than not, a wifebeater despite the fact that he probably can't fill one out. Like Jacko said earlier, if it wasn't for the lighter hair or the Southern Accent, he could be on Jersey Shore. He definitely has the ego.

Over the past few weeks, Red Sox [team stats] executive vice president Sam Kennedy has joked with Epstein to make a few splashy moves to spur ticket sales and boost interest in the team.

“Theo called me after the (Crawford) deal, ‘Is that enough buzz for you?’ ” Kennedy said.

Buzz may be a tough thing to measure, but it is unmistakable.
