I vote for twilight campfighter because he just made me laugh by asking that guy if he was going to win a stay at embassy suites

They also said that Polanco wasn't there during Halladay's perfect game as well as his no-hitter' date=' and that Manuel probably should have benched Polanco after Cincinnati led off with a HR. ;)[/quote']

Haha I missed that. Good stuff.

Anyway, I'm definitely hoping the Reds can make this somewhat interesting.

Reminiscent of Utley's throwing problems last October.

I'm going to defend Utley a bit here. On the first one, he made a great play just to get to the ball, so while the throw was off, I don't think the play normally gets made by many 2b's.

On the 2nd one, Utley was hit as he was beginning to throw. It wasn't a hard hit (yet), but the runner (Stubbs I think) had made contact with Utley as he was releasing the ball. In addition, Howard didn't move his feet to get the ball. Howard just moved his arms, but since his foot was on the middle of the bag, he could have moved his foot to the end of the bag and stretched and he likely would have gotten the ball, since the play as it was had the ball just hit off of Howard's glove.

I agree, they weren't awful errors. But they're still two throws that you expect him to make.

Agreed, but that's because Utley is (normally) a very good fielder. I wouldn't expect most 2b to make both plays, but Utley is generally a good enough fielder that I had thought that both plays would have been made.
