I go to Fenway around 10 times a year and Yankee Stadium maybe about 3. I have been to both twice this month actually' date=' and I will take Fenway over Yankee Stadium every time. There's too much ******** in Yankee Stadium, it's ridiculous. It's like people have been saying, it's really nice and everything, but seriously, if you want to go to a real nice restaurant and sit in a leatherbound chair, then watch at home. Fenway is about atmosphere, history, all of that.[/quote']

I don't even have an excuse. I kind of just stopped coming as often. But I'm back now, don't worry.

But in reality, since I'm leaving for college soon anyway, I didn't bother spending the money to get MLB Extra Innings this year, so I haven't been able to watch as many Sox games, so I don't really come for the Game Day Threads anymore since I can't really say anything about whats going on. But I think I'll try and start watching them on those terrible feeds online now. My most recent trip to Fenway for the 4th of July most recently inspired me to return fully.

i'd say it's more like the difference between driving a classic cadillac or a prius.

.. and shows every single year it has ever been on the road on its body, fender, upholstery, chassis, engine and underwork. A beat up rustbucket of an old classic Cadillac that doesn't really get the job done anymore but we still keep it around because hey, classic Cadillac.

NY is a different ballgame. They change stadiums there every 10 years. Haven't you noticed lately? They even get funding from public bonds. That will never happen in Boston. Besides, Fenway is an institution there with an upscale location.

fenway is renovated pretty much every year lol

You can give an old beat up car a new coat of paint and a bit of engine tuneup and it'll still be an old beat up car

SS, YS was almost entirely funded by the Yankees. The infrastructure was funded by the city. And the Yankees get a new stadium every 10 yrs? Really? YS went 50 yrs without renovations until the early 70s. After that renovation, the stadium stood for another 36 yrs before we got another one. And the old YS was falling apart.
